The first day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Ljubljana took place at XYZ Premium Fashion Store in City Park. The fashion critics, photographers, publicists, creators and fashion lovers gathered to welcome the first fashion week by the prestigious German car brand. We were amazed by the live fashion picture with the exhibition of Mercedes Benz cars.

On the second day, the event moved to Slovenian culture center, Cankarjev Dom. We were absolutely blown away by the extravagant and dramatic Multimedia Fashion Installation by Marko Mitanovski.

The presented collection illustrates the will to live, fears disappearing through the process of catharsis.

The third day was marked by the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Award. Sara Valenci became the first recipient of the award, which is given on all Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week events. The expert jury, consisting of four members, also gave two recognition awards to Ana Jelinič and Maja Leskovšek.

To conclude the evening, the brand JSP presented their collection at the Grand Reception Hall. The creative duet of sisters Jelena and Svetlana Prokovič created a collection with artistic hint, marked by white, black and red.

The last day was all about fashion shows. We got a chance to see the new collection by the established fashion designers and brands: Akultura, Anja Dragan, Petja Zorec, Madame Demode, Mêhle. Nataša Hrupič, Dioralop, Verena Schepperheyn, Dajana Ljubičić, and Movrin.

The shows concluded with a dramatic finish, leaving us impressed. And it wasn’t all just about fashion shows.

The visitors had the chance to listen to a lecture by Robert Lešnik, the director of exterior design at Mercedes Benz, named Unexpected moments. Between the two blocks of fashion shows, we could also learn about different looks on beauty. Kick-Ass-Theric, the conversation with Polona Juh, Tomaž Pandur, Aljoša Bagola and Saša Hes, lead by Vesna Milek, showed us the diverse perspectives of beauty nowadays and through history.
