The relax chair of the Yard family is a sophisticated collection designed by Stefan Diez which combines the aluminium structure of the furniture with innovative materials for chairs and tables. Yard, which has been a real protagonist during the 2015 International Fairs, has already received important international awards, such as the Red Dot Award, conferred by the influential German museum that bears the same name, and the Wallpaper Award – Best Grid, awarded by the prestigious British lifestyl magazine.
YARD by Stefan Diez
Yard, designed by Stefan Diez, is a complete collection of furniture that includes a chair, armchairs, fixed and extensible tables, armchairs, a two-seater sofa, a sunbed and low tables. The lightweight and easily moved frame is in lacquered aluminium, whereas the seat and back are made of two-tone elastic straps. The elastic straps are inserted into the tubular frame using an original technological solution developed and patented by Emu so that insertion can take place in an exquisitely natural way. With their spontaneous lines, elegant tables in lacquered aluminium are available in tone-on-tone aluminium, natural stainless steel versions or heat-treated ash tops. At the Salone 2015, Emu enhances the collection with new furniture elements: a stool and a high table The Yard collection is a furnishing system that fully meets the requirements of indoor/outdoor use thanks to the new products introduced in terms of design, technology and materials.
