I’ve always wanted to try and make my own cake pops. We were shooting something for a project and this was a perfect opportunity to make them.
I followed this recipe:
- 5 eggs
- 25 dag flour
- 20 dag sugar
- 1 dl water
- 1 dl oil
- Baking powder
- 250 g Mascarpone
Mix eggs, sugar, oil and water and add flour and baking powder. Bake at 180C for 30 minutes. Wait until it cools down and then make crumbs using the food processor (you can use your hands but it will take longer).
Then add mascarpone to the crumbled cake and make round shape like lollipops. Put them in the refrigerator or freezer for few hours.
When they cool down melt some chocolate, you will need it for the sticks. Dip the stick in chocolate and to the cake, it will hold on better. Put them on cold for few hours again.
Now melt some chocolate of your choice, I also used some food coloring to make them blue and pink. Then it’s fun time. Dip them in chocolate very gently and sprinkle with decorations of your choice.
Tip: when melting chocolate add some oil or butter to make it softer.
